   INTERNAL EXAMINATION – I

1) Draw an ellipse when the distance between of focus from the directrix is equal to 35mm and eccentricity is 3/4. Also draw the tangent and a normal to the ellipse 40mm from the Directrix. [15 marks]

2) A circle of diameter 50mm diameter is rolling on a table without slipping. Construct the path traced by the point on the circumference of the circle for one complete revolution. Also draw a tangent and normal at any point on the curve. [15 marks]

3) Draw an involute of a circle of diameter 40 mm for one revolution. Also draw a tangent and normal at a point 90mm from the center of the circle. [15 marks]

4)      Draw the projection of the following points along a common reference line. [5 marks]

       

1. Point A 45 mm below HP and the same distance in front of VP

2. Point B 30 mm above HP and on VP

3. Point C 15 mm below HP and 0 mm in front of VP

4. Point D lying on HP and 15 mm behind VP

5. Point E 15 mm below HP and 30 mm behind VP
